Marry me . . .

Indeed:
Proposition 8 fails to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license. Indeed, the evidence shows Proposition 8 does nothing more than enshrine in the California Constitution the notion that opposite-sex couples are superior to same-sex couples.

A group that might find common cause with this ruling is, surprisingly, the 2nd Amendment fetishists. After all, if "they" can rule that you can't get married because "they" don't like you, "they" can rule that you don't deserve to own guns.

I frankly think most don't deserve to own guns, but what the heck, if you're OK with folks getting married, I'm OK with you owning guns.

Boise & Olson comment on Rachel Maddow (I'm still distrustful of Olson due to Bush V. Gore. I don't completely trust him):

And I still don't trust Ted Olson, even though he's on the right side of this issue.
