On a kinda-but-only-tangentially-related note, I did sound for a concert for the above-lampooned Flock of Seagulls in '83. The company I worked for brought in the big sound system, and I was Front Of House tech support. The FOS guys, especially Mike Score (he of the severe 'do') were gracious gentlemen, a real pleasure to work with. And live, they rocked pretty hard.
